Hit 100, life being 5, and the cat

Ok, so I have 3 more things I want to post before hitting my head to the bed. I finally hit 100 views on my favorite layout that I refered to a couple days back. I can link you to the site but unless you have an account, you may not be able to view it. http://www.3scrapateers.com/gallerypp/showgallery.php/cat/500/ppuser/24396 It is actually at 101, kind of ironic because of my page I created today called gingerbread 101. So Yipppeee. I am so proud of myself.

Next on the list is about my brave little girl going through her first life experience. At 5 years old, she got in the car after a full day of kindergarten and says to me last week that someone didn't want to play with her. I brushed it off, only to have her talk about it each subsequent day for the rest of the week. Well, it has become a problem for her and this little girl is starting to be mean to her. I feel so bad, and want to protect her from getting hurt, but I am now using this opportunity to teach her about different kinds of friends. Plus I am getting a lesson in not being able to control her life either...(ie who she plays with on the playground). How can kindergarten already have bullies?

And the cat, well, I am going to save this posting for another day...It will be a long one.

Gingerbread 101

I spent the evening last night after my long overdue hair appointment, having some QT with my dear hubby...(I fell asleep while he watched The bucket List). But I LOVE my hair. I went blonde after a long long time.
On another note, I came across these photos, and realized that I had not yet scrapped them. So, I found a wonderful collab kit called Grosgrain Girls by Color with Caryn, Scrappy Wiess Designs, and Mel Hains designs.

I think I used a bit from each kit. It is hard to tell. I just pulled bits and pieces from the entire collab.
I think that the colors worked perfect for the pictures. I really love to share the layouts with the designers, but sometimes, I just can't figure out how to do that. Oh well, maybe one day, when I get that extra two hours in the day back that are somehow lost, I will figure that out too.

Amazing responses

I wanted to post that I have gotten amazing responses on my last layout of my sister and her new baby. I was taken away by one of them stating how amazing it was. Wow, I never thought I would hear that so soon after embarking on this new digital journey. So big pat on the back for me! I love that layout too!

You are a true miracle

My sister sent me this photo today on my computer. I haven't gotten to see and squeeze my baby nephew like I want to for so many reasons I can't get into now. But I couldn't let the photo go unused on my hard drive. So here you go. The kit was a download a day from Divine Digital called Love Whispers. I finally had a chance to use it from last month! I am so glad I finally got the chance. I think it was perfect for this! He is a true miracle and we are so happy to welcome him to our CRAZY family! He was born Christmas day, what a gift right???!!!

ALMOST AT 100

So this is a rather silly post, but I am pretty excited about it. I follow several sites daily to download kits, parts of kits, respond to emails and postings on my layouts, etc...So when I visit them, (particularly 3scrapateers) you can see how many people have view your pages. I have one page (which is also my favorite page you can see in the right hand column) called "You light up our lives." It is two clicks away from being viewed 100 times!!! I haven't received but 3 comments on it, but hey, I am happy knowing that my page sparked interest enough for almost 100 people to open it. And maybe, just maybe, they learned to blend as I did when I saw a page done by Vicki. I am thrilled...I will let you know this evening, if it hit the 100 marker!

Just wanted to share some more

So here is our kitty. We "rescued" her the end of January, and well, to be fair, have had quite the ordeals with her since. It all began very innocent with her vaccinations, and vet bills...not complaining, until Hudson got sick, the kitty scratched herself bloody, and then we were given pills and antibiotics to shove down her throat. I know, I know, poor kitty right, well that is what I thought and then she went into heat. Yes her spaying was scheduled, but we had to wait for the appointment due to her immunizations. Soooooo, she finishes with the first round, we drop her off to get spayed, and well, not so much. Long story short, she got a shot to stop the itching, and you can't operate for 6 weeks! Thanks for telling me this. Plus they won't board a cat in heat! I know cuz I tried. So now, we sit and wait another two weeks and pull our hair out with each yowl...she is cute as you can see, which is why we are dealing with the scratched door and horrible noises, and crude visuals...where's the love man, where's the love?
The kit came from
http://melslightbulbmoments.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
she is also in my favorite blogs I follow. The kit is called it's raining cats and dogs. It is a collab with Vickis work in progress. I did not use any of the doggie stuff though they were very very cute. Head over to her blog and check hers out.

That is it for now...nightynight!

I finished Daddy's shoes

I have sat at the computer trying to get these finished and wanted to post them before going to bed. I actually plan to go to all of my favorite sites and share them too...I love to get the feedback from people who view my pages. So here they are. I got this kit from a gal that apparently has just stepped into designing. It was a fun kit to work with. I found myself searching for ways to change the products to create something different with what I was given. Anyhow, here is a link to her blog.
http://www.gettinscrappywithbritt.com/
For some reason her link isn't working but she is under my blogs I follow in the right column.
It is called Just for the boys. Enjoy the pages! Hudson is such a cute victim of my manic picture taking disorder!

Daddy's shoes

I am working on a page right now with Hudson and daddy's shoes. I am so excited to get it done. It sums Hudson up to the T. He love s to play with shoes (or to eat them). I think he may have been a dog in a past life....he chews on shoes and begs for food. Whaddaya think? I will post those pages tonight. Or at least one page.

I want to change the back ground or add a border down the side

Tonight I am going to focus on figuring out how to add a border instead of keeping the square elements at the top of my page. I also want to change the back ground instead of keeping it all black. So I am not going to focus on posting, because I think I have it figured out, at least the basics of it anyhow. Cheers for tonight. Maybe I can change things around by tomorrow.

Cavity Free Zone

I can not for the life of me find the kit which I made this beautiful page. I will try to figure it out and accredit the designer, for (a) making this kit and (b) allowing it to be FREE! I did this page ovbiously for Faiths first trip to the dentist. I used this beautiful border and ghost letters. I am still learning so much with my PSE7, I can't wait to see what I do tomorrow.
I am off to bed. This has taken me 4 hours to do all of this! Yikes.
night for now

So I found the kit, and location, however, this wonderful designer has retired her free kits, due to to limited space on 4 shared. Sooooo, I will link you to her web, or you can go to it through my blogs I follow. http://vicki20.blogspot.com/search/label/Candy%20Dream
She plans to sell her old kits in her store, but I am not sure if she has gotten them all up and going yet. (again, I am so new to this, but want to give credit where credit is due). I looovvved this kit.

Faith's school valentine party

So I watched a video tutorial on how to post pictures...yes, seems to be an easy thing for all you "blogger Pros" but I am having a tough time with this. It is hard! So lets see how I do on this post.
I volunteered in Faiths classroom on February 13 for her school valentine party. I was able to find a wonderful kit, which I would love to share with you.
I had a heck of a time finding that link. I am also still figuring her site out. I keep getting lost. But that is so easy to do with all of the sites that I have found.
I have several blogs that I just love to follow, hence my inspiration to create this blog. So I would love to at some point figure out how to get them on here too. Baby steps right.
Okay, so here is the layout I did with this kit. Oh did I mention it is free? It is called Owl love you.

I am so excited to get started

Feb 10, 2008

I am so excited. I started this blog, I entered the digital world of scrapbooking. I have turned a new leaf and can't wait to share this adventure with everyone. I hope you enjoy the ride as much as I am creating it.
