Yup, it sure has been nearly another month since I have crossed paths with my poor neglected blog! Life has been so fast paced and our summer has flown by. California has come and went, twice, and Canada is just a memory of the past. Now back to school books, homework, cheerleading, piano, gymnastics, and whatever everyday has to surprise us with.

I wanted to make it a point to get some kits out there that I have recently made pages for:

Summer update and Dream Big Designs releases

As you can see it has been over a month since I have paid visit to my beautiful blog. I feel so neglectful however just goes to show how busy my summer has been. I dream of being that perfect scrapbooker that can get to all my kits and post them everywhere I used to however...with summer here, being a single mom, my husband being gone, and having the kids home 24/7 I can't find the time. So much travel this summer for us! I can't believe that school will be starting in less than a month! We have traveled so much from Canada to Southern CA we have or will have done it ALL on the road! Many many miles but many many memories that I hope I can get documented. But for now I want to make sure that I post about two great kits by Dream big Designs. Run over to her blog and check out her stores to find these two kits!

And the next kit although I only have one page to share I have another one in progress. It is called Who's ready for school! Such a cute kit! Seriously could not be more perfect for those upcoming school photos!

I will make sure I TRY to post my next page when I finish with it...but no promises I will get to it this week! I am really hoping that things calm down once school starts back up. My darling daughters cheerleading season is really kicking into full gear this week with practices starting back up...So we will be back in the season until next April! I am so glad that her daddy will hopefully be home to see her perform for her National competition in Vancouver BC!

I am hoping to get around to posting some pics from our vacation travels but am simply beat as I usually am by the end of the night! So I am signing off and am glad that I got this much done! Good night!

Its been two months

I wanted to post a quick message to those that may be interested in our endeavors as a deployed family. Two months has now passed since Keith has left. My two year old has stopped asking for dada every time he wakes up and goes to bed. My six year old has grown accustomed to all of Moms dinners and sometimes very short temper. We have been lucky enough this fourth of July weekend to have him home for a short liberty before he heads over to the middle east. We have planned to plan nothing and have done nothing so far. I know this weekend will go all to fast and be over before we know it. Hudson woke up this morning and I surprised him with his daddy home! He was so happy and loved him for the longest time. Faith can't get off We have had many trials, and many mountains and each storm that we encounter seems impossible to pass through. I want to be better at documenting this journey again. Unfortunately my time seems so very limited while home alone. Being the sole caregiver for all owies, hunger pains and monters under the bed, really cuts into all "me" time. I have managed to continue to scrapbook but not nearly as much as I would like.

The kids and I just got back from our second trip of our summer plans. First one was to our great great bestest friends in Northern WA. We went to help celebrate a birthday and hang with friends for a few days. Then headed home for a couple days to turn around and head to Northern California for nearly a week of camping, horseback riding and swimming at a friends Ranch. The kids just loved the horses and Faith found a new love for riding, and appreciation for those massive animals. They can be very intimidating but I am very proud of her getting on that horse and letting it know who was boss.

We headed home for a few days to visit with Keith to turn around and soon will be taking off for our road trip for two weeks to southern CA.

I am totally looking forward to all of our upcoming summer trips. We still have our trip to the beach with my mother and father in law and our trip to Canada with a friend and her children to site see and faith is enrolled in a horseback riding camp for her birthday.

So we have some traveling coming up and a lot of adventures in line for the kiddos. I am so grateful to keep our schedules full so we will not be sitting around wondering about Keith and what he is doing and when we will talk next. I know that the next year will surely fly by, but of course as we go through it, the world seems to turn so slowly. I try to remember to cherish each moment and that they will not stay little for so long yet somewhere deep inside I can't wait to have my family back together for good and not have to worry and or wonder what the next day holds for our family.

Shortly after Keith deployed we recieved a $500 grant from this fantastic foundation called Our military kids that provides grant money to children of deployed reservists and national guard to allow them to participate in extracurricular activities while loved ones are gone. We have been very blessed before Faiths cheerleading season even begins to have put that $500 down and a few weeks later to receive another $250 from Faiths dentist. Now before practice has begun we are half way to paying her whole season.

Around father day, I entered a photo of Keith with Faith walking down a peir at Whidbey Island WA, and won 3rd place! That 3rd place deliverd a $50 Target Gift Card! I plan to use that for activities for the kids while we are driving to CA to see Keith off before he heads over seas. So if you have a chance run over to their website, Our Military Kids, and see just how awesome this organization is.

So with that said, I am up to date minus a few storms we have had to wither that I won't bother getting into. We miss having Keith around daily and almost every moment however each day passes and we grow stronger and closer to seeing him again!

I've had these pages completed for a while and feel awful about having not posted before now. But for all the reasons I have in my book, I'll spare you the excuses and just let you know where you can find this fab kit! The name says it all! When this kit was given to me, I had just returned home from a trip to my sisters house after spending some time on her private beach. There were oyster beds galore and crabs, rocks, jellyfish, and so much natural beauty I could have stayed there for days. It was not the typical beach I have grown accustomed to visiting with soft grains of sand. In fact this beach I could have never taken my shoes off. Not with all the crabs and hermit crabs, and other creatures running around at my feet. But the true beauty of it all surrounded every inch around us. Onto the kit...which was just perfect for all my photos that I captured from our trip to my sisters private little corner of heaven. It was true paradise, and couldn't have been any better to use. I was so motivated with these photos and I wasn't sure I chose the right photos but after I got started, I think that I could have used any photos with this kit and it would have still be perfect but these photos really made this kit flow together for me! Two done in Two weeks! I have been able to move onto a kit designed by the fabulous Melissa Daniels called Super Stuntman!

Look how cute and perfect it was for my Universal Studios photos! If you go over to her blog or even at her store at PDP you can see all the great pages and inspiration that the rest of the CT came up with for it and some of them had nothing to do with stunts or cars!!! It feels so great to be getting some photos scrapped from our trip to disneyland last April. I have so many more to go, but I am excepting the fact that I just don't have the time that I used to have to make as many pages. Being the only one at home I have little time in the evening to sit and work on the computer to come up with some pages. So glad that I got these done though and I think they turned out AWESOME!!

I made 4 layouts with it and before you go checking out my pages, let me first say that the man standing in his tighty shorts was so far out of my element for me to even be taking photos with, however, it was very much a part of my birthday extravaganza and we had soooooooooo many stinkin laughs. The night started with sushi at my favorite sushi bar in Portland then off to a FABULOUS female impersonator show at Darcelle IV in downtown portland. Just as you could imagine straight out of a movie! It was so fantastic!!! My girlfriend I will just call her T had blisters all over her feet, bruises on her toenails as well and I had blisters too! We walked and walked and danced and laughed all night! My 30th Birthday could not have been any better! Thank you to my fantastic friends who were able to come help me and my twin sister L celebrate our big day!!! My friends are soooooo funny and I am not going to begin to try to explain it here on my blog but it was such a fantastic night! I wonder what my 30's have to bring to the table. I hope that this year will fly by and my hubby will be home to share the rest of it with! We miss him so much!

The first week has past

I have had great intentions yet again of keeping friends and family all updated of Keith and how he is doing while he is away, however this week has over taken me with unexpected happenings that has totally allowed to time for me to sit and type.

So lets begin at the beginning. Sunday May 2 we said our goodbyes and Faith said the HARDEST goodbye she will ever have to say. As she and I stood in the airport and watched her daddy disappear behind the walkway door we held each other. She was crying and I was tearful hopeful and curious. Curious to what the next year holds for all of us. How much will they grow? Will Hudson remember his daddy? How Faith will change in 12 months. How many teeth will she loose? Will Hudson be potty trained when he gets home? I had a wealth of questions that seemed to float around me. Now that the hardest part was over...or was the hardest part yet to come. I guess at that point that was the hardest point or so we thought...

Of course I had no idea what the upcoming week had to hold for me. As with the beginning of anything there is always kinks to work out, papers to finalize, and tears to wipe away.

Both Faith and Hudson said good bye to their daddy while they were super sick. I ended up having to take Hudson into the Dr on Monday morning and they placed him on another inhaler. I ended up finally coming down with the bug I have held onto trying to get sick as well.

We have battled insurances not talking to me and dental insurance coverage.  I joke with my mom about writing a book about what the other books don't cover about deployment readiness. There are all the check lists, but those checklists don't go into detail. Granted with every deployment comes different needs and necesities, but for the most part, they are all the same. Unbeknownst to us, dental coverage was not included in our military coverage and required a different enrollment process and payment. So that was never taken care, but established at a very inconvenient time standing at the dentist office trying to be seen after a tooth broke the previous night! Also tricare can never be easy because you are never dealing with just tricare. You will always have problems with being in DEERS when your activation always begins. Of course I had to discover that standing in line at the pharmacy trying to fill a prescription for Hudson and myself but was unable to....GRRRRRR.

I've lost my temper and I've probably not been the worlds best mom this week. But what I do know is that I am not perfect and I am trying. I am trying to provide what my kids need. What is necessary for them to go on today...right here right now. Hudson will not get into the car without asking for dada. Hudson will not pull into the drive way with out asking for dada. Faith always wants to call him and tell him everything still. All makes me very happy that they both remember and talk about him, but are a constant reminder of that one thing that is actively missing in our lives.  Hudson loves to hug and kiss flat daddy and even hugged and kissed his hug a hero doll that we had printed with daddy's picture on it. Faith loves me to spray his cologne on her hero doll, and she really loves to skype with him though we have only managed to do that one time so far. I am hoping when our schedule calms down from so many activities this week, we might be able to see him a couple times on the computer next week.

I have leaned on my friends and asked for help.   They have babysat and been there for me to lean on and complain about that glass of water I dumped down the front of my shirt that I had put back in the cupboard full, and the chicken I burned on the grill and the squash I forgot about in the oven, and the pile of laundry I can't seem to get to, or the dishes that are piling in the sink. They have said they would help me when I needed it. They have been that rock that I have needed. Thank you friends!!!!!

I am looking forward to a weekend with them all to help me celebrate my 30th birthday next week. I am going to try to get a massage a week to pamper myself...I deserve it. And for tonight, lets just hope I can kick this cold in the rear.

Keith has been busy with processing through medical getting shots, filling out papers, standing in lines, going from one part of the bast to another. I haven't had a lot of time to talk to him. He has managed to provide me with paper work and answers to questions that I have. I am thankful for having him somewhat accessable to reach in the event that I need to have something done that I can't do. There are a few problems that have arose that we are not able to deal with while he is away, but I can't talk about those here. Fortunately we can wait to deal with them until he gets home.

We appreciate all the prayers and support that we have recieved. I will continue to update as we go!

Ok, so why has it been so long...??? I have lost my mojo while we are awaiting Keith's deployment. I have put all on hold and spent my time with my family which is obviously my priority right now. I have the desire, but when all is said and done at the end of the day picking up my computer instead of hanging with my honey is the farthest thing from my mind. So I will be back when I have no honey to hang with but until then, I will be here and there and anywhere. I am grateful that all my CT's understand and are patient with me while I take on this next chapter or shall I call it my new book? So I will be back, slowly but for now keep us in your prayers. Ciao!

Family Memories by Craft-tastrophic Designs

This kit has such vibrant colors, and it worked so perfectly with my photos! I was so excited to see the designer that I got to work with for the second half of February at Digi Scraps Drive In, and when I saw the kits I had to pick from for craft-tastrophic designs (try saying that 10 times fast I bet $100 you can't!) I was in heaven! So hard to choose. I eventually eeny meenied my way down and chose Family Memories. So here is it! What fun the competition was and what fun I had making these pages!!!

And here are a few photos from our weekend in Bellingham! Did I mention that they placed 3rd out of 8 teams!!! WSE girls Rocked the floor at this competition for sure!!!

Flavor of the month Love Everyday

How awful is it that it took me half of the month to nail this one down...and I was using a template (that was included in the kit). I guess it just goes to show how busy life got for me over the past couple weeks. Ok, well I am not here to talk about that. My first opportunity

My previous blog stated how busy I've been...hence the tardiness of this blog post. We went to Bellingham this weekend for another cheer competition!!! Woot woot! Had a great time aside from the CRAMPED quarters in the bleachers. Our venue got swapped from where it was supposed to be and if I had my way, I would not salivate to go back to this highschool where we ended up at. The competition was fantastic and her whole team ROCKED! Faiths mini team placed 3rd out of 8! Youth, Juniors, and Senior teams all placed first!!! Here are some photos!

I have a lot to post about tonight. So lets get the ball rolling because I need some rest after my weekend. But I will post about that next. First of all I want to tell you about a new CT that I am on. Yes that makes 5 for me, and I am either a little crazy or seriously obsessed with digital scrapbooking. Or could it be both? Either way, I am on the new Dream Big Design team! She just released this ridiculousy awesome kit called Cookin In My Kitchen that will bring out the best in any digital scrapper! I was forced to reckon with this one, as many know I don't cook, I am not fond of cooking, me and my kitchen well, we are civil with each other, or at least we try to be. So I LOVED this kit when I saw it but I was thinking uh oh, I am in there so infrequently what will I ever do! The pages just flowed together so much easier than any recipe I have ever attempted! It was the easiest "meal" I have ever prepared! Without much further yada yada yada, let me show you the kit and take off to her store to grab it quick! sigh, I am so exausted. This single mom thing is hard business. Awe thank you United States Navy for always remaining so reliable to rip my husband from us at the drop of a dime. No I'm not bitter. Proud of my husband, and grateful my kids have such a great dad, but tonight I am tired. Last night I was tired, and the night before that, you guessed it...Yup tired. I have a feeling that my exaustion is going nowhere anytime soon. Next bit of business to discuss is this kit that oh so truly fits my mood right now. WHAT WAS I THINKING?

Selfishly as I was updating and reading back over some of my blog posts as I was admiring some of my old pages I thought about a couple things. I seem to mention all the trials and tribulations but never annouce the outcome. What? You may be thinking to yourself. Ok, so for instance, I mention my little man getting sick and needing to take him to the dr, but never come back to say well he was diagnosed with RSV, and though we did the breathing treatments for a couple weeks, he is fully recovered and back to normal. Also when I mention my fabulous daughter and all her hard work that she puts into practicing gymnastics and cheer and all the time that we have devoted to driving to and from various practices, well she has had her first competition and did I mention that? No. So this is another LATE resolution. I will be better at updating and revealing outcomes. Well now that I am aware of this, I am going to make an active effort to change that and for a true beginning to this, I was to post a couple photos from Faiths cheer competition last weekend. It was in Bellevue at the Meydenbauer center. The international ATC (all things cheer) competition. This being our first year to a competitive cheer team we really didn't know what to expect. Let me just say to make a very long story short, we had a CHEERTASTIC time! At one point of the two day competition, I found myself onstage (making a fool of myself) shaking my booty to the "shake what your mama gave you" dance off, and Keith found himself on stage shakin his thing to the "daddy don't do that" dance off. Unfortunately neither of us won the fondue set but we had a great time (althewhile totally humiliating ourselves!!!) Keith at some point became "Flag guy" sporting the new team flag whenever one of our teams went up to perform. That was awesome to see him out there supporting his little girl in all of her endeavors. He is such an awesome daddy! Friends we are not talking about a small personal sized flag. I am talking, large hangoutsideyourhouse size flag. So I am now mom to faith and wife to flag guy. Does it get any better than that? Yes my dear friends it does. Not only did she rock with her team out on the floor, she also placed 2nd in her division! How awesome is that!!! So here is a few photos that will eventually be scrapped but in the meantime, take a peaky at how much fun we had watching our little angel soar to new heights!!!

I am a bit frustrated with my youtube widget tonight. I have no idea why my videos are not appearing on my page when I edit it correctly. So I hope that whatever video is showing at this moment will be g rated until I can sit down and figure out why it is not appearing as I would like it to appear with my Youtube account videos. After I moved it around I appear to have irritated my poor little widget. I will figure it out, but in the mean time I go to bed with someone elses videos on my blog. Sigh. However, my blog is looking great!!! Yippeee

I am learning, I am reading, I am coding!!! Can you believe the change that my dear blog has undergone in the last week or so? It has been a huge trial with a lot of holding my breath, but all in all, I have grown! There is still a lot left to do, (change my sidebar titles) learn how to link photos to somewhere else on the web, center certain items in my sidebar, add some frames) but like I said, I am well on my way. I like the way this looks a heck of a lot more than my plain jane black background. This is so very much way more me!!! I hope you like it too! All of this work that I have done with the background and header of course I need to give credit to JJ Scrapping and her wind it up kit you can grab over at DDR!

LATE RESOLUTIONS

I have decided to take some time to devote to trying to update my blog. I want to change a few things and add some things that I want to share with you. For now I am starting small. I am nowhere near the computer genious that I wish I was so this will no doubt take quite some time. I will just say that for now I intend on making an active effort to continue to try new things out and try my best to learn more about blogger. I guess in a way this is a ~~LATE~~ EXTREMELY LATE new years resolution.

So here is a my attempt for the night. The strikethrough and background change. Did anyone notice I added snow several weeks ago? I guess I need to look at taking that off now!lol

Scrap Gratia Artis volume 3 Circular Reasoning Template

I have found a new website that I have briefly mentioned getting on the creative team over there. I received my first assignment and chose to work with a template kit set from Altered Seas called Scrap Gratia Artis volume 3: Circular Reasoning. (Just click on the link and it will take you to her store at DigiScrapDriveIn.) It has been many many moons since I worked with a template. I have to say, I really enjoyed it. I didn't have to worry about what peices were going where or anything. It was a nice break though I did feel like I was cheating a little bit. It was awesome to get to sit back and drag and drop and choose the colors that I wanted and just put them where I wanted them to be. When I chose to work with the templates, I also needed a kit to fill the holes right? Of course. So I chose to work the with daily download kit called Renew also over at DSDI. This month is by Daybreak Scraps and Mad Genious Designs. So I will also include a link to their stores over at DSDI. I mentioned this Daily download a few posts down too! I have had some great opportunities to play with some awesome kits from my new CT that I am now on over at JJ Scrapping. Several weeks back I asked one of my designers Melissa Daniel (I am on her Creative team), if she could create a cheerleader so I could design a thank you card for my daughter to make some cards with. I was so excited to sit and play with it to create a couple layouts, and then my family came down with another battle of the yuckies. I am feeling better, but my poor little man, isn't. I am taking him in to the dr today. He seems to have had a tough 20 months of battling everything from the common cold, to ear infections to the flu bugs to bronchitis. It is so hard having sickies in your house and when your little ones are knocked down by the bugs, even more difficult. He has gotten some rest which allowed me to finally get a couple pages done. Ok so I mentioned in my last post that while I was over checking out some new creative teams I could apply for, I found a one kit call for wind it up. (the kit I last worked with.) However when I sent her a quick application, I mentioned my search for some new teams. Long story short, I am now on Jenns team (aka JJ Scrapping)!!! I am sooooooo excited. I have now played with another kit called Winter Sparkle Red which you can find over at Go Digital Scrapbooking. I just love her style and can't wait to dive into another. Heaven knows I have so many photos to get caught up on. Amazing how behind you can get in just a few months if you don't stay on top of it. I am praying for some extra time, however, my extra time lately has been caring for sick kiddies. So enjoy the pages I did, and run over to GDS and pick up her kit!!!

I was recently over at Digishop talk hunting around for some new teams to work on. I kind of have been a bit lazy after a couple of my designers retired, and I was super sad...but now the time has come and thus my search began. I happened across this GORGEOUS kit called Wind it up designed by JJ Scrapping over at Digi Design Resort. I am honored that she accepted my request to work with it. I have some goodies in the works headed your way. I can't believe I have been so neglectful of my blog. I feel so bad. If my blog is neglected that means that my CT's have been neglected. What can I say? My family has taken top priority now that Christmas is in full swing. What I know is that after the turn of the year things always seem to mellow back out and I have nothing but time to sit up until midnight scrapping my heart out! OOOOO, which reminds me, winter break is almost here for my DD and that means sleeping in, which means, staying up to the wee hours of the morning, taking care of my oh so neglected photos! But let me be the first to tell you, my Christmas cards turned out SOOOOOOO cute! I did 9 different styles that I intend on converting into scrapbook pages eventually. But for now, my wonderful Creative team that I am on (Cathy you are wonderful for being so patient with me) is getting ready to release a new kit called Happy Jolly Days on the 20th! Let me first say that I can't believe the holidays are upon us. I am totally floored creating these Christmas pages, (of course using photos from last year) but, PEOPLE, they are already playing Christmas music in the stores!!! What happened to the year? Where did it go? That gives me an idea for a scrapbook. I really need to document important events each month. Maybe that can be my New Years Resolution. I could never do 365 photos. One every day. Could you imagine? I know some people do, but I am not that devoted yet. Although I do take a ton of photos. Okay enough ramblings. Let me get onto why I am really posting. It all ties together though I promise. So I mentioned how stinking awesome Cathy's kit are in my last post. Now you get to see one, and if I can get to the new Give thanks kit you are going to melt, it is so so so so cute!!! I finally got to doing My Darling daughters 6th birthday photos! She has asked for a couple of years now to have a swimming party. I wanted to have a pajama party and maybe have a couple of friends come spend the night and my wonderful friend was going to do everything for me to make this party "Martha Stewart or Oprah worthy." She begged to differ and pleaded for a swimming party. It was the same way with Hannah Montana at the Childrens Museum for her 5th party...never again will we do a childrens museum birthday party. It is a fantastic place to visit, but I am the kind of person that wants a more personal friendly tight affair with close friends and family. Not kids running all over a museum where you can't even find the kids that are in your party. NOPE. Not doing it again. Write it off as a lesson learned. Leading me into the introduction of this fantastic kit by Cathy K designs called it It's Your Birthday. Her kits just keep getting better and better. Wait until you see her Christmas and Thanksgiving kits! They are sure to knock your socks off. I am working on one more layout for her Christmas kit and then I will post a double pager for you. I am so bad about posting my LOs here lately. My designers that I create for have release dates. Which means that I can not post my LO's until the kit has released. So the date then comes and goes and I forget to post. I need to get better about it. Ghost train LO's

The beginning of October, the Ghost train took off and was the biggest collab train I have laid my eyes on. I downloaded as much as I could before I got lost in all that I had on my hard drive. I decided it was time to get to it and use the goodies that I spent so much valuable time downloading unzipping and filing. Afterall, I can't collect and store, I gotta collect, use and then store! I think that part of my addiction to digital scrapping is probably collecting the products. As it was with my paper scrapbooking. I am pretty sure my husband will agree to that. So without further ado, here are a couple pages I did last night really quickly. I have tons of pictures to get done still from the kids in their costumes, so I am sure you will see more of this trains goodies before I am done.

Wherefore art though Fall?

What a super cute title right!? However, here is Washington we are all aware exactly where the fall is. Melissa living in FL on the other hand was searching for the signs of the season change when their weather was still in the 90s for a while. The wonderful thing about living in Northern Washington is truly our 4 seasons we always experience. Our Winters are typically very mild, though last year we did have a ton of snow...much more than any of us west coasters are used to. Our spring is crisp, colorful and bright, while our Summers are warm but never too warm for an abnormally long time we can still get away with no AC but suffer through a couple really hot days. And of course our Fall. What a wonderful season to remind anyone what Washington is so known for. Our trees, we ARE afterall the Evergreen state. So when Fall comes, the leaves are all changing colors and falling to the ground. It is such a beautiful sight to see. The greens are all glowing reds, golds and browns. Nothing is more beautiful than to watch the progression of the seasons right out my kitchen window! Campfire Stories

I have to say who couldn't use this kit??? Everyone at some point of their summer spent time outside...I don't camp...not really...if it has walls, a roof and running water I can do it...of course it needs outlets for my laptop too. I don't do tents, and I have to shave everyday. I know, I know, but I have to. So one day I may actually do the REAL thing but until then I will be TOTALLY ok using our cozy little cottage we found on the coast of Washington. This summer we managed to make it there a couple times and took some friends and their kids with us the second time. We had the BEST time over labor day right before school started. So I managed to use this fab kit by Cathy K over at Scrapbook Elements. You can also mosy on over to her "CAMPSITE" hehe if you want to check out her blog and what all of us on her team have been up to. Of course it has EVERYTHING you could ask for that has to do with the outdoors...bugs, flashlights, wood, tents, and more bugs!haha It is such a cute kit. I can't believe that I haven't gotten to this kit yet! The Wonderful Melissa Daniels created this cute kit called Not so Rogue Robots that reminded me so much of my son and I just couldn't pick which photos to use for it. Though it would have been perfect for robot photos, we just don't have any. My oldest has some robots, but of course we have no photos and I wasn't feeling very creative to go run with the camera so I worked with what I had. Thus giving you these pages!

Faiths 5th birthday

So I was feeling motivated because of the wonderful sale that inkubook was having several weeks back and I just had to finish some pages that were in dire need of finishing so I could get them printed and sent on their way! Voila! Here are a couple pages I completed using a oldy but goody called Swanky by Shel Belle Scraps. It was a huge kit but I did get it around 9 months ago. Anyhoo, it was a bright bold kit that I have managed to pull a TON of layouts from, and was just perfect for my daughter Faith's fifth birthday party we had at the Olympia Washington Hands on Childrens Museum. (this was my first ever location party)...though it was super easy I was certain I would not do another one until she requested her 6th birthday at the local pool. Hmmm maybe next year I will get to do the breakfast in your pajama party for her that my dear friend Dawn is salivating at the mouth to do. Yup I said it I admitted it and that is the first step to fixing the problem...isn't it??? Well now that I have that done and said, I wanted to post the album I did for Faith. It is her first 5 years just one or two photos for each month of year one and each additional year after that. I made an album for her and of course ordered it through inkubook. I just got it in the mail yesterday and it is so stinkin cute! She loves it, I love it and I don't think it could be any better. The kit I used was called Talias baby love but you can't get it anymore because Erin at Scrappyweiss Designs retired so it is pointless to send you to her store because boooooohhoooooo, she isn't there anymore. But with that said it was a super kit, and very very fun to create this album for faith.

My labor day weekend

I have finally celebrated my first labor day weekend EVER! I remember when labor day weekend just meant staying home and sleeping in and getting ready for school to start. But I think our family has begun a new tradition of going to the beach and staying in our little cottage that we found. We went with some dear friends of ours and had just the greatest time. From hiking to lighthouses, and gocarts, to bumper cars, campfires to smores, and feeding seaguls, to horseback beach rides, we just about covered every activity we could fit into one single 4 day weekend. What a great time we had.

Another one of my designers is retiring too! Pixie Perfect Designs has opted to take a break from designing for now. I am sooooo sad to see her go. I am now on the hunt for a couple more teams to dive into and get to know. I am soo bummed out...but with this new school year is going to come new opportunities for me creatively. I am trying some new techniques right now, and learning about applying actions into my program which is giving more endless opportunities while I create. I have made a few digital things that I was able to use on my kits and I am oh so ever exited to get to try out some new teams...Just gotta find them now.

I couldn't believe it but I didn't have any robot photos to work with so I really went on a limb with this one but I think it turned out cute, afterall, how could it not with my cutie in it??? I have so many excuses, but I won't bore you. I can't believe that I haven't posted for so long. I have been working my hiney off getting pages done for my disney album...and we all know I have tons of pages. So I am just going to throw them all out there right now. I have the designers and the like if you are interested, but as I have so many, it would just be too difficult to go research and cut and pasted and link you to the stores. But if you want to know who and where to get it, just holler and I will send it your way.
Keep in mind I wasn't lieing when I said I have been busy since the 11th of July so there is a lot to get through, but I think you will like them all nonetheless.

Lil Rocker is the American Idol page, and Laugh is another kit by Cathy K. They both worked well together for the colors!

Dinomania is also a Pixie Perfect Design kit. Her kits just keep getting better and better and I am so lucky to get to play with them! I am going to past 4 pages that I did using this kit!

Divalicious is a kit that Erin at Scrappyweiss did for another gal on the team. It was such a great palette to work with!

Next is an old one called Grossgrain girls. It was a collab by Color with Caryn, Mels lightbulb moments, and Scrappyweiss designs. Erin was floored when I showed her the pages that I did using her older kit!

next I used another older kit by Vickis work in progress blogsite! It was a freebie for the week several months back.

Next up are Minnie and Mickeys house! These were a mix of products between Scrappyweiss and some old blogsite freebies.

I used an old scrapsite daily freebie called Hollywood and vine off of Divine Digital from several months back. But these pages sure turned out cute! Are you wanting to go to Disney yet because these pages sure make me want to go back!

Little einsteins was a blog train called rocket. Or something along those lines. It was a train hosted by Digital Candy before they went out of business. But still a super cute kit that had tons of great designers on it!

And of course the block party bash...a collab mix of designers!

These Tinkerbelle pages I used a kit by Vickis work in progress. It was a weekly freebie but I am sure you can find it in her store still maybe unless she has retired it. I just love these two pages.

The next two pages were fun to do. Hudson got really sick inside this attraction at Epcot, it was a trip back in time remembering this horrid moment we had to go through with our poor little sick man at that time.

No I am not feeling better yet, in fact my allergies have bombarded me and I can't breath, smell, taste, hear, or swallow a thing! I can't quit sneezing and my 15 month old son is really wondering what happened to me everytime this gargantuous sneeze comes out! lol It is amazing how much we rely on those silly sinuses!lol
So another quick post is coming from me today! I saw this kit from Cathy K one of the designers that I am on the creative team for and again, I new what photos I had to use. It all flowed together so smoothly for me, and I just loved this kit. I say that all the time, but I just love when everything just goes together ya know! This is truly going to be a quick post. I am not feeling well, and my dear husband of course is gone for the month, and Hudson is waking up. Kids are out of school, time is something that I can't find enough of. I seem to be so busy lately that I can't find the time to scrap. TBall is taking a lot of time, and gymnastics, and work, and cheerleading meetings. By the end of the night, it is a wonder my eyes aren't crossed and my fingers can still find their way around the keyboard. Anyhooo, I did two more pages by Cathy K. This Kit was so fun! I think that I could go back to it over and over and over with so many different pictures. I chose the kitty ones because I needed to use them but there were so many other ones I could have chosen. It is called Laugh and you can find it over at Scrapbook elements.
This is what it looks like and you are lieing if it doesn't make you smile. I just love the colors and the bright and boldness. It just makes your eyes pop and I didn't know where to start, because there was so many things I wanted to do.

Can you believe it is June already??? So I applied to be a guest CT member for Melissa Daniel Designs (you can find her stores at Scrapable or Scrapdish). I did this many many months ago, I believe before the New Year. I am so excited for so many reasons...One is that I get to pick what I want and make what I want!!! How awesome is that!!! So here was my first choice, called Oh Da-Da Dear

Melissa did this as a collab with Neverland Scraps.

So here are the two layouts that I did using this fun kit, and of course they had to be from my vacation...but weren't the colors just so perfect for the pictures!

I also have a double page LO using a kit by one of my favorite Designers Scrappyweiss Designs but I am waiting for her to release it so I can unleash the lions and let you see it! I love it by the way! And I know you will too!!! HEHEHEHEHEHE, so secretive!

Holly over at Pixie Perfect Designs created this super dee duper (yes I just quoated Barney) kit, that was so totally perfect for our meetings with Tinks fairies. I will go onto Tinks pictures next. One of my fab designers Cathy K (aka twoboyz00) that I ct for did this wonderful kit that was inspired by a beetles song...hmmmm which one could that be? You can find it through her blog or at digiscrapaddicts.

Isn't it so cute!??? I saw it and once again, knew what photos I had to use. Which was lucky for me, because I had yet to scrap them and I guess, there was a reason for it. A couple years have passed, but the memory of this party are so very clear. It was for sure, the best party I have ever been to. Can't you tell from the photos how much fun we had. I just die looking at our clothes! Amazing Dawn (check out her blog, it is as fab as she is too), kudos for throwing yet another AMAZING party! You are well, I would say my brotha from another motha but maybe I will say my sista from another mista!

I am in a hurry to get to bed, so this is going to be quick. I used the summer love kit by Pixie Perfect Designs. I didn't question or hesitate using these photos and am so honored to have had the chance to look back and reflect on my friendship with this wonderful woman that I am so lucky to have had in my life for the short time that I did. Emily passed a way shortly after her 30th birthday from breast cancer that spread to her lungs and liver. She left behind a husband and two children that as a mom, makes my heart weep. She was an amazing woman and has truly changed my life and how I look at it. I hope that you all have a chance to have an "emily" in it. Here are the pages I created with it

Favorite Recipe

I have been waiting to post these ones! When I got home from vacation I got to jump right into this kit. It is a design by Scrappyweiss Designs called Favorite Recipes. You can find it at her store at Enchanted Studio Scraps. I struggled with the right photos to use for this kit. I don't know why but so many different photos came to mind and I think that I ended up using the right ones, though I had to go back a few years for the first page. Here is what the kit looks like:

I just love doing what I do because I get to always go back to whenever I want and relive moments that were so precious so many years ago, and recreate them on paper! Or here on the computer for you to see too!
So without going on, it must be the lack of oxygen due to my stuffed sinuses but I am feeling mushy today! Here is what I came up with from this kit!

One fine day

I was super excited when I was finally caught up enough to begin creating for a designer whose team I joined just before leaving on vacation. Now I am sick!!! Boo hoo! Well I must say that that stinkin bug has made home here in Mi casa and does not want to say adios! I am ready to kick it in the butt and get better. From my little guy to my daughter, and on to my husband full circle back to me, when will it give! So here I am, I have managed to squeeze a couple LO's out for a great and wonderful designer Cathy K. I used her kit One Fine Day which she entered into a SYTYCD contest over at digiscrapaddicts . Here is what the kit looks like:

I wanted to cry after I finished this page of my daughter in her gown with Prince Charming. It made me think about how fast the last nearly 6 years have gone by and how quick the next 6 are. It won't be long until she is all grown...I guess I had a moment! I love my little princess!

I wanted to post a quick minute before heading off to bed. I tried journaling our trip to disney and got 4 days into it, but on the fourth day, Hudson got sick, then I got sick and then Faith got sick and well, I guess, the sickness sort of bummed me out. We did have a great time, I can't wait to share some photos with you all. I will post a couple tonight until I can get some things made with them. Though I do plan to do old fashioned paper albums for my stereo tower too. I just love my cricut and paper, but I love that I have new pictures to work with too.

We did 3 days at Epcot or more like 2 1/2 since we made 1/2 day a sick day.

Faith LOVED the Soarin ride. It was surprising after all the tears we got even after dragging her onto the pooh bear ride at Magic Kingom. She just isn't adventurous, and has a hard time doing new things without knowing what to expect. But I am the exact same way. So bundle that into a 5 year old, well it made for a difficult trip to disney.
We also did 2 days at Magic Kingdom.

The rides and shows were nothing short of absolutely amazing. My fav was Mickeys Philharmagic. I even went back with Keith so he wouldn't miss it. Or it may have been the princesses, or the fairies, or the light parade, or or or or....it was all so amazing.
Then we did one day at Universal and the Honey I shrunk the audience 3-D was soooooo awesome, Faith loved the High School Musical show in the streets, and the parade. We watched so many shows and had so much fun here too.

Then theres Animal Kingdom, and this was yet another successful day.

We did as much as we could and I don't know if we could have done anymore. Faith got her face painted (totally the highlight of the entire trip) and her hair wrapped. (that was supposed to last for 2 months, but lasted 2 days when it slid right off her hair!)
We spent 1 day at Sea World and OMG watched some of the most amazing dolphins and whales perform together with birds and wonderfully dressed cast members, it reminded me of an aquatic cirque de soilei. Which we watched at the Sea World San Diego several years ago.

We ate at a few character meals one of my favs being the girls night that we did the bippity boppity boutique where Faith and her cousins were turned into royalty with the swing of a wand! She walked in as Faith and walked out as Princess Faith! Then we went to have Dinner with Cinderella, Prince Charming, The Evil Stepmother, and the stepsisters. It was a magical night for everyone!

So that is it in a nutshel minus our dinner with Chef Mickey and Breakfast with Pooh, and all the fun in between! We had so much fun! It was a magical trip and I can't wait to do it again one day, when the kids are older! Great times, Great photos! I am so blessed!

OMGOSH!!! I MADE THE CT FOR SCRAPPYWEISS DESIGNS!!! I AM SO EXCITED! So having said that! Here are two layouts that I did using one of her kits and I have so much to play with! Tomorrow or Thursday I get to post a new LO I did using one of her newest kits...but it hasn't been released so I have to keep it on the hush hush for now!!! But I will say for sure that you will LOVE IT!!! I did and I used my favorite pictures ever for it!!! Have I pump pump fired you up???lol
So using her Paisley Punch kit Here is what I came up with: I just love these pages! Isn't the one with Grandpa and Grandson just so beautiful. I loved the squares raised off the page...I think it really sealed the deal!

I just took this photo recently when my dad came to visit. I just love seeing my kids with Grandparents!

Hudson walks around constantly with this little pretend milk bottle in his mouth from his sisters play kitchen. One day, I just had to take the photo and let him remember how devoted to this milk bottle he was!lol

I wanted to get our Easter photos scrapped before they sat on my hard drive until next Easter and I realized that they weren't done yet. So here is our first event for egg hunting at friends house around the corner. This is Hudsons first Easter and Faith has become such a pro. We normally make our rounds and attend so many egg hunts, but this year was a bit more mellow for us. Of course wea attended the cider mill egg hunt which you will definetly see the photos of, but until then, here are some great photos from our first trip out for Easter! This kit is called Elissa by Jolene Shaffer at 3 scrapateers. I just love the photo of my dear hubby and our precious princess! Isn't it just perfect. Our trip to DC was a couple years ago, but I haven't found the right papers, and embellishments that made me want to use the pictures. I finally found some that spoke to me and it was time! So without further ado, I used the kit Sweet Surrender over at 3scrapateers . The buterflies were plenty and I got these photographs on the way to the White House I believe. I saw this one and it was just so pretty, I had to stop and watch it explore and "dance" around its world. What beautiful creatures they are!

A bit late

I now know there was a reason that I hadn't scrapped Faiths fourth birthday...YES HER FOURTH and she is almost SIX! But it was the stars because, they knew that Divine Digital was going to have a daily download that would be perfect for these photos! The kids were just so cute and the party was so much fun. With only a few minor gliches, I would have to say that this party was a huge success...

1st Haircut

I can't believe it...Yes my little guy has had his first haircut already. Faith didn't get hers until well she must have been 4. I would have to look in the albums to see. Little Hudson man just turned one though!!! I was so tired of people saying..."look, she's looking at you!" Or, "She is so cute. Look at her eyes." Yes my son has beautiful eyes, but She is a HE! I will forever allow the parents of an unidentifiable gender to tell me what their childs name is, or at least just ask, "how old?" and wait for a response. My little guy is ALL BOY (except for when my husband placed the tiara on his head tonight and laughed for days...He vows to keep that photo until Hudson gets married. I coulda kicked him. Anyhow, these pages are the milestone we as parents just can't believe has already come around.

Happy Birthday to my Dearest Baby BOY!!!

I had to post this before going to bed. Yes we did his birthday party already, but today was the actual big day! We had some tiramasu and icecream (yummy!) and he got his present from us! It was a very mellow night, but nevertheless, such a celebratory day! Happy 1st birthday my dear baby! We are so blessed! Here is a photo of him arriving in this world exactly one year ago, and fast forwarding a year....voila! Of course his proud big sister that is so anxious to help him learn it ALL!

Once again, I have no idea where I got this kit from. It appears from the file names that it was once possibly a blog train that I downloaded from several designers. I know that I downloaded it when I first began downloading before I knew that it was really important to give credit where credit is due. So, I will say that in my own defense. It is called cold as ice, and I am sure that it had to be a blog train from a now unremembered website. I had more pictures to use from our extreme amounts of snow that we got this winter, and I could not allow them to go unused on the hard drive...I just had to give them a home. I hope you enjoy them!

I have officially had a moment and I can't recall for the life of me where I got this kit from. I THINK I downloaded it from the member gallery on Digital Candy I am so sorry oh unknown desingner! Ok, garsh, I have not posted the GREAT news! I applied for a couple Creative teams to make layouts using kits created by designers...And I made some teams! How absolutely awesome is that!!!
So I have been hard at work, learning the ins and outs and where tos and whens of what I need to do as a CT member.
I have made some guest spots in the upcoming months, but for now, my permanent CT homes will be with Pixie Perfect CT. The designer Holly seems very nice and I look forward to sharing future kits, layouts and links here! So keep your eyes open for more to come from her at Digital Candy.
Next spot is with 3Scrapateers! Yiippppeee! They are revamping their site and have a great new team I am so excited to get to work with. My first kit I used from 3 scrapateers was called Its a Spring thing by Pyralis Designs. It was such a fun bright kit to use and really made me find my happy place after all this rain that we have had. I so easily found these photos to use on the pages! What a great kit to help bring out the bright side of anything! Here are my pages I came up with!

My husband is the GREATEST!!!

Okay so I had to take a minute before going to bed to say how much I love my husband. I had mentioned to him today that I happened to spot a Guess purse at the store today and fell in love with it...but due to its rather high price point, I disregarded ever owning this coral beauty. However, he caught me offgaurd tonight walking in during dinner carrying...yup you guessed it! My purse! I know, I hear it .....aaaawwweeee! How sweet! Just had to say I sure love his attentivness and desire to keep the wife happy! I will post a photo of it tomorrow in case you are wondering what the mystery purse looks like. No it isn't coach or Vera Bradley, but it is mine, and I love it!!!

Yup, I sure did post pictures of my purse...faith is just as excited about it as I am too! LOL

I knew when I saw the preview of the whole kit that I had to go back and use the photos I took of Faith on career day when she was 4.
